I will tell you the truth. Michael is my favoerite current Giant so if they cut him, I will be pi$$ed and I won't be as passionate about The Giants this season. Now that Tiki is gone and Eli is just getting started, The Giants need their D to be good. And do you think they will be good as they need to be without Michael?

My father was born and raised in Connecticut and is a huge Giants fan, so I know what you are talking about. Every time I go to visit him, whether it's at home or at his office, we talk sports. I am a sportswriter, he's a big fan, so it's natural conversation. We'll throw around anything. The other day, I was over at his place, and we we're just talking about a bunch of different sports issues. All of a sudden, I said "What's up with the Giants and Michael Str..." and I didn't even finish the sentence. I wound up listening to my dad rant on for about 15-20 minutes about how Strahan was the franchise and needed to be taken care of and that they would be terrible if they let him go. Personally, being a sportswriter and an objective person (at least I would like to think so) I think that the Giants defense might have issues if he retires. I mean, Osi Umenyiora is a budding star, but how would he fair if teams double-teamed him because they knew Strahan was gone from the opposite side? They wanted to move Mathias Kiwanuka to linebacker, but he would probably have to go back to end. I don't know, it would really affect their entire defense. Plus, I really like him as a football fan. He's a good player. It would be ashamed to see two guys of his and Tiki's caliber retire in the same year.

Maybe because I don't like the coach but I can't help thinking that either Michael would be in camp or would been traded if The Giants had a different coach. I am bias, I hate him but I can't help wondering.

is Strahan leaving? that'd suck. that wont effect the way i feel about the giants. watching giants games brings a lot of good memories so it wont matter if they lose all the time; they're still my team.

He hasn't made up his mind if he is staying or going the last time I heard any news. The Giants will still me my team too but I will really miss Strahan.

Loved the Jints B4 Michael, will love them after he's a maligned memory. I love Michael, he's been a magnificent Giant throughout his career, but I'm completely over him now. He doesn't know if he has the heart for a 15th NFL season? I can sympathize, but what in the world kept him from saying something last April, when the team could have drafted differently? This just annoys me, I think he's being selfish by dragging this out. Retire, don't retire, whatever, but the time for Michael to decide is long past. This holdout crap only hurts the team, and Michael's legacy. A merely adequate rookie is better than a wavering question mark in the backfield! Is it too late to sign Jeremiah Trotter?

I have this feeling that isn't the Giants that Michael wants to hurt , but the coach.I keep thinking that if there were another coach, Michael would have eithere signed a year contract and called it a career after this year or he would have been traded.I dissagree, The Giants need a great player in the backfield or they won't even get to the playoffs.
