Who hates the new applications?

My first problem is that everyone's facebook profile seems to be taking FOREVER to load, even longer if their profile is overrun with those dumb applications and my second problem is with those people that can't hit 'Forget it' when it comes time to send all their friends invites to use those same dumb applications so I'm getting like 14 new invites a day!
Argh!
Who else hates them?

i don't hate them, i hate that people don't learn how to control their apps!
when i install anything, i always make it invisible on my profile until i'm sure the app is something i want to keep using.
most people install stuff with the default settings, which places it into their profile, usually at an annoying spot on the page.
i hate having to scroll and scroll just to get to someone's wall area because there are so many aquariums, solar systems and X me boxes before the wall.
i try to maintain my profile so that really silly apps are at the bottom, and useful or non-annoying stuff stays near the top. i also play with the right and left side layouts to figure out which makes the page more user-friendly in the long run.

I'm with you. I periodically reorganize my page so that it's easier to scroll through, and most of the apps I just install (and then keep hidden, like you) so I can do people's quizzes or look at their videos, or play a good game of Scrabulous with a friend. I have no use for most of them, though. Most are so useless, and they really do just clutter your profile. I have no need for people to check out my current Scrabble game.. I'm just playing it for fun.

you're right about the scrabulous results.
i even noticed that the stats it puts on your profile page isn't accurate! for example, i could be playing 10 games, but it says i'm playing only 1.
it doesn't count all the games i've won, etc....so what's the point?
i only keep my scrabble stats on my page so that other friends know i've added the app, in case they want to challenge me to a game or something like that.

I've been getting a ridiculous amount of application invites as well! I rarely if ever refer my friends to a Facebook app. I only do it if I know they'd like it.
I'm trying to keep my app number down, which is not that difficult to do as the apps are usually useless. ;) The original intent of social networking is the reason I'm still on Facebook. I like keeping in touch with friends and family.

I hate them soo sooooooo much!! If I get more invites for applications I am going to explode!!
