What things has fear kept you from doing? Going for the job/career you really want? The love of your life? Having kids? Succeeding? Maybe activities, like flying or swimming?

I guess fear has in some ways kept me from totally letting loose and enjoying myself. I have had be the designated driver and the mature one most of the time when out with my friends because i don't drink as much as they do anymore and I guess that my fear would be that if I don't be the grown up and mature one in party situations, bad things will happen. So my fear would be letting lose!!

No problem, I like to find out more about people too. I've always been very shy. Painfully when younger. Kid younger. But now I can go to work in jobs where I have to deal with people head on, reception, program director, weightloss counseling and be outgoing, compassionate, polite and helpful. At first it was an act then the act became real. However in crowds, and still in school, it returns to me. I feel the same shyness, the same self consciousness. I'm not sure what to do about it but I don't want to just accept it. I'm planning to take voice lessons soon, as many have complemented me on my voice, in person and over the phone, and besides the lucrative field of voice-overs, I want to to some public speaking, slowly at first, volunteering at seminars and such. Over come this - well, I'd have to say that its almost a fear.
