Is PRO-LIFE helping those who aren't in life yet or those who're here already?

You know those who are such advocates of prolife and indeed prove it by bringing child after child into the world - first I respect you for having a cause and standing by it. Its great to want a family if you can afford it otherwise I think God allowed us to discover birth control for a reason- so that kids we can't afford aren't brought here to suffer for that isn't pro-life I hope these same people consider that they're are so many children already in the world who need homes. I think it is ALSO pro-life to help those already here by foster care and adoption. I respect those who are able to handle childbirth over and over and deal with so many kids with patience and love. I hope by the same token those who believe in prolife don't put down their neighbor who adopts - for the many reasons they have - like not knowing the gene pool and such. What do you think?

i am very much pro life but when my daughter told me she used the morning after pill it didn't bother me. i didn't think i needed to know that since it was over a year later. my other daughter has to decided to adopt and not have children of her own. i raised my children to think for themselves.

What a great way to raise your kids! I think its great that your daughter wants to adopt. She is prolife! She is an advocate for the life that is already here. Yay.

I completely agree with you for once =P I am, by my own definition, pro-life, and in my sense, I support life that is already existing and the beliefs, thoughts and feelings of these people. As much as bringing life into the world is a beautiful thing, it's so true that there are already existing lives of people who nobody seems to care for. Is someone really pro-life for forcing another into having children and either keeping it, or adding to the children up for adoption? Are they not, in effect, making peoples' lives worse, forcing their beliefs on others and still leaving countless children without care and love? I think many pro-life people really need to re-assess their values, or just keep their mouths (and fingers) shut. Great discussion, I'm surprised you've had so few bites!
