Pro-life and capitol punishment

Do you think it makes sense to say your pro-life but for capitol punishment. There are so many degrees - what if you accidently killed someone protecting yourself or someone else, what if you got into a fight (never a good thing) and the other died - or what if you were fooling around and the person fell?

I believe that you can be pro-life, for capitol punishment and even kill someone in an act of self-defence. Accidentally injuring or killing someone who was threatening your life is not murder, and certainly does not contradict someone's status as pro-life.

I agree. Yes, as sacrificialclam pointed out, there are psychos out there but not all people who kill someone are that. There can be extenuating circumstances. So you may be for capitol punishment for the evil out there that unfortunately exists, but not for the guy who was protecting his family or his own life. Great point.
