Got a questions that needs answer here, I have been getting dizzy with no reasons/any warning for the last few months, it felt like the world are spinning around me for several seconds until it is back to normal. I have visited 3 doctors for reference and they all have different diagnosys bout my illness, 1st one tells me that i have a low blood pressure, the 2nd one says that I have vertigo, and the 3rd says that I'm just mind+phisycly tired. I have had plenty of rest, drink supplement to normalize my blood pressure and cool down from my job to avoid any stress and still no effect. So please, for anyone out there who is a doctor or has the same experience or know what my illness really are/has tips to reduce it then your post are greatly appreciated. Btw, sorry for my bad English :) Thanks Before!!!

Let me ask you this.. is your dizziness from side to side or is the spinning like from floor to ceiling? If it's the latter then yeah, it's vertigo but vertigo can be a symptom of many things. Are you feeling any other symptoms with this such as fullness in your ear or ringing in the ear? I get all of those from something called Meniere's Disease.

You have Meniere's Disease? How are you treating it? I'm having some problems right now and considering surgery even, so I'm curious to hear how other people treat theirs.

Most of the time I am able to keep it under control now without "treatment". My father has had several surgeries (where they drill the hole in your skull) and is now 100% deaf in his left ear. As I'm sure you know.. salt will make your symptoms much worse so if you can avoid salt as much as possible I would make that a MAJOR priority. Luckily I am able to do that pretty easily because I didn't grow up with lots of salt in my food because my dad having Meniere's my mom didn't cook with salt. There were a few things that I was given when I would have a really bad attack... prednisone (steroids), a diuretic and even valium. Mostly that along with time helped and just trying to maintain and keep it under control. Tell me more about what you are facing and what you have tried. How long you've had it and your symptoms and such. I can ask my dad next time I talk to him what he thinks. Which surgery are they talking about doing? My ENT talked to me about surgery when I had a very severe bout a while back but I decided against it. Now I am glad I did because most of the time I am able to just keep it under control myself. I was desperate before though.. I didn't know what I would do and couldn't even walk myself to the bathroom. I feel for you and hope I can help :)

gday subersive most common reason for loss of balance is because of an inner ear infection however can be multiple reasons in situations like these best is to be guided by your doctors especially one who has treated you for long period time and has a full knoweldge of both your and family medical background :)

It sounds like vertigo to me. I've had vertigo on and off because of Meniere's disease for several months now, and for the last couple of months it's because almost continous. It's no fun. =( I would suggest at least checking with an ear-nose-throat specialist to see if it coule be some form of disturbance in the inner ear causing your vertigo. Another possible culprit could be migraines, if you have them. Did they give you any medicine when they said you had vertigo? Typically people with vertigo are given Antivert, and for some people that by itself controls the problem.

Wishing you well subservice_me. Not a dr. However I did inherit a genetic disorder that effects the ears. Waardenburg. No time to write completely about it except I get dizzy too. You may want some balance or neurological testing. Good luck mugwort

My mom and I have both experienced such things. Does it come out of no where and suddenly you get hot and need to sit down? That's how I felt but no one could ever diagnose me either. My best advice would be for you to start exercising by doing things like running. It could be that you have small "stones" in your ear canal. Look up "vertigo" in webmd and see what comes up. There are MANY different diagnoses for vertigo, and it is simply hard to figure out for doctors. Good luck!
