I always prepare enough food good for a week or so so that when typhoon comes i don't have to go out to buy food. Canned goods or noodles or the ready to eat types of foods are preferred so that it last long and can be stock. Flashlights, candles and emergency lights are always present and ready for use.

we don't usually experience typhoon and flood here in our area because we live in a city that is surrounded by mountains. i haven't experienced a typhoon before. but i did experience a flood once when i was young (way way back like early 1990s)and it was knee-high. well sometimes it may rain very hard but it doesn't flood here. but we do experience short power outages every once in a while that's why we always fill the bucket with water. =)
