Why do people always question about an adult watching cartoons?

My parents always tease me about my watching cartoons can any one tell me why is there an objection of an adult watching cartoons?

Cartoons are just assosiated with children and I guess people must think that if an adult watches they must be childish. Personally I don't care what others think I am still going to watch cartoons.
