Did I miss something here? I thought that Spencer brought up the whole being Asa's son thing and when it was proven that he wasn't we also found out it wasn't David either. If Asa knew David was his son, why did he let him/pay him to sit in jail for murdering Spencer?

On several occasions it was apparent that Asa had figured out that David was his son. But Spencer and David never did. Asa was not eager to accept David as his son since he apparently did not think much of him. Asa even visited David in jail(not prison) one time because he knew he was his son but didn't say or do anything about it.

Thanks. I guess I missed that. So what was with the 10 million Asa offered him to plead guilty? His inheritance?

No it wasn't his inheritance. Actually the ten million was for him to kill Spencer but someone beat him to it, although I doubt if he would have gone through with it. David just tried to take the credit for it so he could get the ten million. As I said Asa was not happy that David was his son. David being his son was not that openingly talked about not even with Nigel, but it was clear that they both knew it.

I don't even think David knows the truth
