Michael Vick's punishment

So Michael Vick has been in trouble for dog fighting for quite a while. Now the NFL wasn't sure what they were going to do with him until the verdict came out, but it was possible that he was still going to play. Now it has come to light that Vick engaged in illegal gambling with these dog fights, and suddenly that will ban him from football for life. Does anyone else find something wrong here? I mean illegal gambling gets him banned, but dog fighting, and killing the dogs in a pretty brutal fashion gets him what a brief suspension. Something doesn't seem right there.

In my opinion, no matter what his punishment is, it won't be harsh enough. I think he not only needs to be kicked out of sports for life, but he needs to, at least, spend some major jail time. There is no excuse for the stuff that he's done. I believe he is nothing but evil. He needs to be put through the same pain, as all the poor animals that he has tortured, and all those he has had any part of. I feel such hatred for people like him.
