That's true! When you start a discussion, it doesn't count in your number. But correct me if I am wrong. I notice that if you get the first response in your own discussion, that would be count in your number. But for the second and onwards, it's not counted. I notice that for a couple times in the past and I think it should be correct. Maybe you could pay attention next time and see how it goes.

I noticed that too lately, I watched it and it will go up once I get one response to my discussion. It makes sense I guess.

Yes, I think it makes sense! But I am not sure if we could get a high in number if we have more than a certain responses.

Nope those folks are wrong...each time you respond to someone else's discussion you will earn a point, when you start a discussion you won't earn a point until someone responds to it, but you only earn one point for the first person who responds to your discussion..So in other words you don't earn points for each person who responds, just the first one

Yeah I figured that after a while... hmmm... you'd think they'd give you credit for starting? Maybe it's an effort to cut down on all the spammers?

Your discussion that you start should earn a point with the first person who responds to it, as that validates it, and makes it into a discussion. Unless of course something has changed and they have taken that away as well.

I've noticed that also. I do not know for sure if starting posts the numbers go up or not. I think they do adventually.
