With pork, we like to use home made apple sauce, or homemade fruit chutney's... How about you, what do you use on your roast meats? Thanks in advance to all comments made...

I like to use pineapple and peach on the turkey and chicken.I never try to use fruit on pork or beef.I just think it doesn't go together.

I use apple sauce with pork, with turkey or chicken, we use cranberry sauce, but usually only at Christmas or Thanksgiving. We hardly have any fruit with beef or mutton or lamb. We have a short growing season, so we have the fruit for dessert or eat them out of hand. Usually we have condiments such as HP sauce or gravy on our roast meat and with mutton or lamp, we usually have a mint sauce, but it has been years since I had lamb.

I generally don't use fruits with roasted meat, but one tradition I've started years ago was for my New year's Day dinner...I have a ham dinner and I roast it with sliced up pineapple that I simmer in orange juice with cloves and cinnamon--and I have it with glazed sweet potatoes with sliced up apples and raisins

well in my house once in awhile i like to make fruit glazed pork chops.i use about 7 pork chops, about 1/2 cup of orange juice,1/4 cup of jam which could be peach, pineapple, orange etc.1 tabel spoon of brown sugar,1 tabel spoon of vinegar,1 tabel spoon of light corn syrup.first you brown your chops, combined remaining ingridients in pan, heat to melt jam.pour over chops, simmer until chops are tender about 45 minutes or so.it is very tasty and a nice touch to the pork chops.
