Recently I started a discussion about being charged on my credit card even though I received an error message stating that my card was declined. Well, I finally got my money back...and it only took 2 weeks!! So how many out there have had to file a claim with a company to get your money back? It could be because the product was bad. Or the service was not what was stated. Anything. How did you go about it? How long did it take from start to getting your money back? Which reminds me, I'm still fighting with my gas company.

So far I have no experience about that, but in you case, I agree for your fight on getting your rights. Yeah...sure yes and why not?.

Thats true. You do have to know when to fight and when to let it go. Its like raising children, you have to know which battles to fight.

That sounds very quick! I've never had a problem yet, hopefully I won't.

I've heard some nightmare stories, so be glad that you've never had a problem. :-)

I traveled once and I used my credit card there. After some months I noticed a debt. I didn't recognize the debt because the name of the store was something linked to children, and I didn't have any child. I called the credit card company and said that I didn't think I had bought that product. They suspended the payment and said they would investigate. One month later I received the photocopy of the receipt. My signature was there. I called them and said I recognized the signature and that they could charge me. They took another month to charge me. They were very nice.

Great story. The (some) credit card companies do look out for their customers. After not using my cc for about 2 months, I started making charges left and right. After a while my cc suspended my card. I called them to find out why and they told me that the activity was not my normal activity so they that that my card may have been stolen. When I confirmed that I WAS using it they lifted the suspension. Hooray for the credit card company looking out for the customer!
