My Colleague Lost His Wife Last Night

A colleague of mine got home from office yesterday only to discovered that the wife was dead. He was so devastated because she never notified him (husband) about any ill health. Even when the husband was leaving home in the monrning the woman was hale and healthy though according to him (the husband she has trace of asthma. Could asthma kill somebody like that? The husband said he met the door shut when he got home after yesterday's work, he had to forcefully open the door only to discover that the wife was dead. Her dead sent goose pimple around our spine because she was not sick before. Have you ever had such experience? What could have been the cause? Can asthma take life like that?
