Understanding Prayers

My prayer language is in Avesta, a language I do not understand, and yet when I pray the mantras, I feel at total peace. The prayers are very powerful so I just pray to God without understanding what I am saying. He knows best and like a mother who only understands her childs babbling, He too must be. Maybe with an indulgent laugh.
