Any New ways to advertise a jewelry website

Hi all, I joined here 8 months ago and this is the first discussion I have started. I was wondering if any one with hand made jewelry websites have really good ways of getting their sites "out there" Mine has slowed down considerably and its getting me discouraged.

Hint #1: Don't join a site and wait 8 months to become involved. Those 8 months have been wasted now here. You could have been earning and talking about your jewelry site.
Hint #2: Join www.ryze.com and www.myspace.com and place links there to your website.
Hint #3: Creat your own business cards and leave them everywhere you go. I once got a customer who found my business card in a roadside bathroom on the Interstate.
