Help me understand tags

Tags are a way of organising discussions, images etc into categories. It also helps as keywords for searches. If I tag this discussion with the tag 'help' and a user enters help in the search bar your dicussion will show to them and they might respond to your question and get some answers on the topic of tags. Also when you enter tags other discussions with similar tags will show at the bottom of the screen. Most likely if you are responding to a question with a certain tag then you might be interested in similar discussions.

As you keep posting questions and replies they get accumilated in the course time.If you add one or more words of your post in tags space later it will be easier to find that post by entering the word in the top left searh space.

They are used to classify or label a question to make it come up on searches. For example, if someone asks about the flu, you could tag it as: flu, sick, illness, medical, virus, etc. Then when someone comes in here and searches for anyone of those words, that question/answer would come up.
