My daughter will be attending her first day of kindergarden on Sept. 4th,and I am excited but worried, she will only be doing half a day kindergarden but I will worry about her while she is there. Anything can happen now a days at school, and she has some medical conditions,so I will worry when she rides the Special Ed bus. But I must say I will enjoy the few hours I will have alone to myself. So are you ready to have your break?lol Are you worried about school?

I share with you the excitement, worries, and confussion when your baby is going to school. At first, you'll worry, then you get home, you don't know what to do first since these few hours seem so precious. But time will go by, and you'll find that you have accomplished maybe a couple of things. Just enjoy your free time, and try not to worry much. If anything happens, the school will tell you. It's a mile stone for you both. I am ready for my 8 year-old to go back to school. I need everything to go back to having a routine....No more late night and morning....

I agree the summer routine has been kinda harsh and you are right about everything else. Thanks that makes me feel a little better,it would be nice to take care of some things without having my little tail(lol) behind me.

I'm SO BEYOND READY for my kids to go back to school next week!! its been a long, tiring summer for me and I am ready to have my house back and my peace and quiet ya know....The only concerns I have about the school yr is my son having issues again with this group of punks who've been harrassing him for the past three yrs...I've made it VERY clear that i will NOT tolerate any crap and will go above and beyond this yr right away if i need to and if that means knockin on doors and goin above the principals head to the school board then thats exactly what will happen...There is a new principal this yr so hopefully there won't be any crap to deal with but that still remains to be seen :-/

Oh I am so sorry to hear that, bullies are such a big problem now a days, and it is only getting worse. And the school doesn't seem to want or know what to do about it. I do hope the best and if need be go to the police and the school board,if they won't do something contacted the local news stations, schools hate to be seen badly in the media.

My son started school a week and half ago. And I'm glad to be back to this schedule! For one thing, I get more time on my computer! He was online a lot this summer, with my supervision, of course. But I truly miss posting and doing other things with my machine! My son has asthma. So, yes, I do worry about him. But I think a part of the worry is just normal parent worry. Yes, it's true, the world is not as safe is it was when we were all children. But we can't allow that to bring us down. I mean, our kids also have things and opportunies that we never had.

Oh yes worry is a part of the parents life,it keeps me on my toes for sure. I try not to let it control me though. And yes computer time is great!

It will be ok. Enjoy the time you have to yourself. It will be hard at first. The things I worry about is, whether my son is being treated right and worked with. It is rough because he cannot tell me anything. That is getting better since he has gotten his talking device.

I am glad to hear he is improving,I also worry about how my daughter is treated as weel, she can talk but she doesn't say her feelings well, and her memory isn't good from the meds. I know it will be hard but I know it will help her,she loves school and she is improving everyday with the help of her Para pro's and teachers.

I don't have any kids, so I am off scott free in this regard. However, I do worry about kids having to endure the state of America's school system, with the crime and other things going on. Scary world we live in.

My son is also starting 4yr. old Kindergarten on Sept. 5th. I am sad and excited. He's never been away from me that long. I know he'll love it, but I am worried about him too.
