Anxiety neurosis

In anxieity neurosis the anxiety is directly expressed. The child is often shy, timid and clean, emotionally immatured, overdependent upon the parents, and mixes poorly with other children. The child is continually afraid of losing his family or of dying or being subject to some other disorder. He may have difficulty in getting sleep and sleep may be disturbed by dreams or nightmare. Common somatic manifestation of anxiety are loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, headache, poor concentration, restlesness and increased palpitation.
