Web Page programs

Any computer/ webpage people out there know of a good web page program that is simple, that is the drag and drop type, that can be made on a blank page rather than a template and that I could use my own collection of clipart and such, I am currently using word and would like something that is as simple and similar... thanks in advance.

If you are talking about softwares that are used to make webpages then there are many such softwares available. I had been searching for such types of softwares and had experience on some of them.
The software that i could recommend you are
1-Ms. Frontpage( it is one of the best in the net and all over the software and you can't find better than this.)
2-NVU (this is a simple webpage creation software and according to me it is best if simplicity is concerned.)Its site is www.nvu.com
3-freewebsitebuilder (if you are interested in making money from the webpage you create then try this. ) I am not sure of its site but i think it is www.freewebsitebuilder.com

I just checked the NVU one it looks pretty good , I am very happy with word which I believe is vey much like Frontpage well that is what I have been told but the only reason I need to get something else is my page has been archived by our National Library but for some reason they can't connect to my site because it is in Word, I had to send them a disc with it on and they just leave it at that, well I have upgraded my page so much it would be better so I need one that is done like most webpages so I don't even really know what they need but I need simple and I would like something that is like word ....thank you so much I will check these out...

Thanks for letting me know about the problem. I thought the idea that i had would help you but you need some more simple programs. I am really sorry but i don't think there is any other such software which is similar to word. You can search some search engines and find some information and if i can help you in any way then please let me know.

i can suggest some of the software i used before, but i think there is such a thing as easy as 123. you still got to learn how things operate and eventually master it or be good at it to arrive at desirable result. i suggest you try dreamweaver. it is not a drag and drop sort of thing but once you get the hold of it, the menu and rich library for web design are i think amazing. my suggestion. good luck!

I like this idea s i am trying to do something with web pages for long and can not find any easy way to get control over it. I know nothing about it and about coding, so I need something very easy too. I have read this discussion and found some helpful tips and links for learning and getting help with it. Thanks for starting this thread

dreamwaever if you really want to keep it simple , flash if you want it nice , free programs espescialy for this purpose if you want em both:)

if you want a really good software then I recommend Macromedia Flash Professional 8, it is not the latest release for that software but the best way to go because there are millions of tutorials online.
I use this software to make games because I am a game developer, that should tell you how diverse it is, the software was designed for making animations and web sites but because the programming can be so advanced it is easyly used a game software, if you would like some basic tutorials PM me your email address and I will send them to you.
with this software you can use almost any form of media you have stored on your computer, like pictures, animations and sounds, it is amazing, I wish I could tell you all about it but I don't think I can post that much.
if you are interested in this software then let me know and I can help you learn how to use it in days, but the software is not free and can be expencive but worth it.
