my first museum exhibit

the museum is the lost villages museum. where i live many years back the st laurence river flooded some villages around here. the lost villages museum has old buildings that were built around 1810 and that were moved from the flooded area to another location and now have been moved to the museum site. so the exhibits are on the history of the villages and the flooding. it's a bit like a heritage site. all the other buildings there are houses that are set up to look like people lived in the 1800's. this will be the same concept in the main floor but in the second floor is where there will be exhibits on the different towns and the flooding so that's what i'll be working on. yes the course is very interesting. i'm learning so many different aspects of museum work like collections management, educational programming, exhibit design and building, conservation, and so much more. i will be qualified to do so many different things.

i'll be sharing everything when i'm done but it's a year long project so it will be a while before it's done. the museum opens in july next year. but to have my name on something where it's opening for the first time is so exciting.
