I had just attended a weekend recollection last Weekend (Aug25-26). Since it was all about reflection and a private moment with God, I can't help but cry when I look back on my past experiences, deep hurts and also, the frustrations I had encountered. At the same time, I also cried when I felt overwhelmed at the people who supported me as I dealt with my past - and tried to let it go. Tears just began to flow, and were witnessed by the people who also attended the weekend retreat - the people, who, I just met that same weekend. --- Crying on public? It's a different thing. It's crying in the open - with the eyes of strangers looking at you and wondering why there were "water" welling out of your eyes. *hehe* Hmmmm... I had cried in public when I was riding in a public utility jeep. My mom and I had a huge fight. I was still crying when I went out of the house and went to school. In the jeepney, our confrontation was still very vivid on my part and I can't help but cry. I was just trying to hide by stopping the tears from flowing by the use of my hanky. But they still keep on flowing! When I arrived at school, I really looked "wet" and red. I went to the comfort room first to "freshen up". *hehe* It will be humiliating to go and attend my class and see the questioning eyes of my professor and classmates. LOL -- How about you? Have you ever cried in public?

I do most of the times. I love to read books on my journey home by bus. If the storyline touches me, tears will just flowed. Ever once, I were too sad reading and started to sob to control the tears from flowing more, and there this lady infront of me, turned and tried to console. LOL. Its embarassing explaining that I was too taken off by the story in the book. My friend who was reading too and sit beside me, laugh at me and said that I'm crazy. Actually, I find nothing wrong of crying in public, if its for a good reason, why not. If out of the blue, you just cried out aloud, then you must be crazy i guessed.

No. I don't know why I can controlled my tears when I'm in public. I make it sure no one can see me crying even a single tears of mine.

I did but I don't remember them all. The one that still is fresh in my memory was in December 2004. I was denied a visa to the US. I was going to attend a training and all the supporting documents are submitted. I prayed about it, fasted for it, asked for sign from God which I got. However, on the interview day, the consul seemed to be having a bad day because he was very grumpy. And he denied my application. I was so disappointed and angry even with God. On the way home I was crying in the bus )-;

I do hope that your weekend retreat has helped you deal with the things you needed to my friend! I have cried in public many times, with grief, sadness, happiness, anger you name it - I cry very easily for so many reasons. I used to get embarrased by this and try to hide it but nowadays I have accepted that i show my feelings and I shouldn't try to fight that! xxxx

Yeah I do cry in public of course...and when we're hurt we don't really care about other people...sometimes I get tired of that situation, but I know there's a right time me to stop crying in public soon...
