Hi guys, i am facing trouble with my e-mail accounts as my disk quota has exceeded. Is there any way to delete old mail from my accounts in this type of situation. While trying to delete from control panel, it says read/write failed. Disk quota exceeded. Thanks in advance for any help.

You should detalied more your problem.Like how you acces your mail.Usualy there are 2 ways to acces a mail server: 1.Using your browser you go to an web adres where you log in and you can read your mail with the help of an web interface . 2.Using an client program like microsft outlook or mozilla thunderbird. This programs run on your computer and download the emails for you.You have to se it up once and the just run it. Usualy any mail servers have the first option free and some even the second. You should try to delet your old mail by accesing your mail bouth ways.

You are right, but all the things work when the disk quota is not exceeded. I am using Outlook & Webmail both to access the mail. Outlook at office & webmail on the go. While i am trying to delete any changes to my accounts it says Read/Write failed. Disk Quota Exceeded...

Dear Erator, This kind of problem only occurs if you are accessing mails from a browser because the mails are stored in the server where disk quota will be applicable. If you are accessing from outlook, usually the mails are downloaded to your local hard disk and then deleted from the server unless you specify the option in your email client to save a copy the mail in the server.

Yeah..., one thing you can do is.. configure an email client like Outlook or Outlook Express and download all the mails there. This is possible if you have POP access to your email account. Check with your email service provider. Let me know if you need further help on this.

Thnaks for your idea. I am doing the same, but at once only one mail is downloaded & then to download next mail i have to do the Send/Receive again. So, it's not possible to download all mail at once but to download one by one which will take long time...
