If you live in the United States and they are talking about patients outside of work they are violating the HIPPA law. In most health care situations that is cause for immediate termination. Keep trying to report these people. You need to advocate for the patients in their care.

They are breaches of discipline and unprofessional behavior. Most companies have a hierarchy of disciplinary actions, such as: verbal warning, written warning, suspension from work with no pay, firing.

Health care personnel should never discuss patients outside of work!!! They should only be making phone calls or sending texts maybe once or twice a day to check on their families, or during a break. No, they shouldn't be using the ward computer for "amusement." Tell the head nurse.
