has anyone got an ebay shop...? are they worth it ?

i have been thinking about opening up an ebay shop, but i have heard and read mixed feelings about it... some people are saying that they are not worth it anymore since ebay have stopped putting them in the searches etc... have anyone got an ebay shop ? do you find it is worth it ? or have you closed your ebay shop as no one could find it ..so the sales went down...
