Are you ready to go back to work?

Well the weekend is almost over. Here on the east coast we have just a few minutes before midnight and then it's Monday morning again. And, that means the weekend is officially over. No more fun. Back to work for everyone. Well, most people at least. Tomorrow is a holiday for some. But, only in the US. Everywhere else it's back to work as usual. And, ending the weekend usually involves an entirely different set of skills than beginning it. When it's Friday and time to get off of work, you can just start letting it all hang out. If you go to bed late on Friday night, there's a good chance you'll be able to sleep late on Saturday. But, for most working people, that's not the case when it comes to Monday morning. As for me, I'm planning on turning in a little early tonight. Since I work at home, there's no big preparation. Otherwise I'd have already chosen my clothes for tomorrow or wrapped up any last minute assignments that I had taken home over the weekend. So, what are you doing to prepare for the upcoming week? Have you already put out your clothes for tomorrow and put all your papers into your briefcase? How will you be preparing to go back to work this week?

Didn't go back today due to a holiday. I may not go back tomorrow just to I can get another day for recuperative purposes. But knowing me, the work-o-hol will kick in and then I'll just get up and go ;p

I often wish weekends were longer most of the time. I will go back to work tomorrow and do what I do everyday. I will just what I can complete and go home for the day.

Talk about Monday morning blues! Every Sunday evening, I arrange the clothes for the entire family (son’s school, self and hubby’s office), do last minute check on son’s books and homework, browse the fridge for tiffin and breakfast next morning and generally go to bed with a prayer on my lips for the coming week. Monday morning and I go like ‘Oh God, another week and today is just Monday’. But then time does fly and I never notice when the week flies back and its weekend again. This is the cycle of life and thinking of it, I do like it coz it means I am not stagnating.

No I'am not interested in going back to work... I always dream about the next weekend when back to work on Monday. This one reduces my agony toward the beginning of week.

I worked right through the weekend like I always do, since I work at home. I am actually planning on doing less tomorrow than I did today. Tomorrow my husband is grilling and we are thinking that if the weather is nice, we are going to take Elliott to the school to play on the playground. My husband has the day off, since he gets most holidays off. When he goes back to work on Tuesday, he will be back on days. We've been trying really hard to get our sleep schedules adjusted accordingly, but it's 11:30 pm and we are still awake, so we are not doing so well. I guess we will just have to do it the hard way. Tomorrow, my husband does have to iron his uniform. We've already done all the laundry that he needs for next week, though.

I own a company and we do not work on holidays. I work every day. However employees need to enjoy the days off.

Usually when the last working day comes, I feel so relaxed and will be online very late till the more than one or close to two in the morning. Then I will still be able to sleep late the next day. But if I will have to work tomorrow, I would not stay up that late. Usually I stay online till more than twelve, sometimes close to one a.m. Weekends has always been my greatest luxury.

Hello beautyqueen26, It was a long holiday here last week. We celebrated our 50th Independence Day on last Friday so it was a public holiday. Last week, I worked for three days only and couldn't wait to start the long holiday. I always stay up late on Friday and Saturday and go to sleep early on Sunday night. I prepared all the necessary things on Sunday night so that I won't be in hurry and rushing for everything in the morning. Yeah, I hate Mondays but as an employee, I don't have choice I guess.
