How much does going out to the movies cost your area? / myLot

I haven't gone to a first run movie theater in several years. I refuse to go the cost is too high. The average movie ticket in my area is about $9 for one ticket. Luckily there is a dollar movie in my area so if I do go to the movies I only go to the dollar movie. I rent a lot of movies at home anyway because going out to the movies are just too expensive.

In Poland movie tickets are expensive, they cost from 15PLN (~5 dollars) for children and students to even 25PLN (~$7,5) on saturdays and sundays for normal ticket. It's less than $9 but in our currency it really is much.

Movies herein Manila cost around 100 to 150.00 pesos for the regular movies.That would be $3 or $3.50. IMax is around 300.00, It's $6.50 in dollars. I seldom go to movies too for I find it too costly. I prefer renting DVD's and watch at home.
