do you practice your profession? are you satisfied with what have you become after years of hardship on studying this course?

I am actually a pharmacy student, and I would say that I really enjoy studying what I'm studying now with the exception of exams of course. I had the chance to do some placements in hospital and community pharmacies and the experience has been overwhelming in terms of the knowledge and experience gained. Frankly speaking, I can't wait till the day I graduate and be able to start working! I feel that the 4 years spent in uni don't really help us learn much, it is within the working industry where we learn most of the "real-life" situations and that's where we get the hands-on experience and we need to juggle between decisions of what pharmacological therapy is best for a patient.....wow, talking about it already is making me excited! Woohoo! =P

Yeah, I am well aware of the stresses of the real working world and the total responsibility we as pharmacists hold for all our decisions. But I guess it's just the excitement of being able to earn money independently from my parents that makes me so eager to start work. Anyway, my 3rd year final exam is next week, hope I will pass each subject! =)

hi mejay im also a filipino pharmacist like you and i have just read your post to other related pharmacist topics. yes, like you i feel sorry we could not try the fpgee exam which is the best offered exam for us [harmacist. i mean we could earn twice the rate of an australian pharmacist in U.S and the pharmacy is really in demand there compared to other countries like Canada. well anyway, im also working as a hospital pharmacist. what school did you graduated? as for me im from SLU-baguio city. im lucky to work as a hospital pharmacist right now because im trying to gain some experience. im more than 3 months now at work. Next year ill go for the APEC exam for Australia. i hope i can make it. how about you? do you plan to stay longer here in the philippines or making your step to go abroad? have a good day and good luck to you. its nice to hear from fellow pharmacist here in mylot.

hi there! well, lucky for me, i got a schoolmate here! I also graduated in SLU baguio.. I do have plans on going abroad.. i got lots of them! lol! right now i am working in one of the prestigious hospitals in the country.. i also wanted to take foreign exams like APEC and PEBC.. but my ego is hitting me when the idea of asking for financial support "again" from my parents comes to my mind. the exams are so costly. well good luck in your exam! maybe by this time u already passed APEC.. i hope to hear any thing from u joshboz..
