Okay, Well I have started a new job and so far so good. But we will be in training for three weeks. Should I remain quiet or talk. How would you recommend pacing myself during the first three weeks. I know I am a talker and like to be friendly. But corporate america is not always the right place for entrepreneurs or people like me. Thanks for any advice!

We go through a lot of new employees around here. The ones I hate are the mouthy know it alls. I like the newbies that stay fairly quiet at first until they figure out the office dynamics. I like the ones that are friendly and semi quiet.

Thanks for your input. Actually before reading your response, I quit talking even when I thought that I should talk. I think that in training, it's a good time to chime in and pace yourself but not always be the first with the answer. To me, that is wasted energy especially considering that we are not yet on the floor doing our jobs. Thanks for your advice and this new week, I am going to keep my lips shut aside from answering at the right time.
