At work we will have a few old CRT monitors and if I get stuck on one of them I have a guaranteed headache for the rest of the day. I think it has something to do with the flickering screen. You can barely notice it until the monitor starts going bad. LCD and Plasma screens are so much easier on the eyes.

It seems like you are already past the point of no relief with your migraine. But what I usually do is at the onset of any headache, migraine or not, I take 800 milligrams of ibuprofen, it doesn't matter if you have the big horse pills, or the over the counter kind (Each pill is 200m so I take 4) If I can catch the headache early enough, I can cut it off at the pass, or at least get a few hours relief until it decides to come out of its hiding place (This is what I call the migraine playing peek-a-boo.) This may work for you as well, just find a way to take 800 milligrams of ibuprofen right when you feel the first twinge of a pain, and that should help (P.S. Don't worry about overdosing. The max on ibuprofen is 2400 milligrams a day.)

Ever since I got my 17" wide screen laptop with a ridiculously high resolution, I get headaches every day. I am online for 12-15 hours at a time most of the time so it stands to reason I would get eyestrain. I also need contacts or glasses for an astigmatism but don't wear them so I am my own worst enemy. I sometimes take Aleve but usually try to relax my eyes with a warm or cool eye pillow that also has soothing aromatherapy oils in it. I relax, I rest my eyes, and my headaches lessens. But I am getting used to these daily headaches these days. I vowed I would go get another eye exam and get glasses or contacts and wear them. That would probably help a LOT. Sometimes the only thing you can do is to get offline and rest your eyes and relax. There are also good computer eye drops that help some.

Oh yeah I get them it's from the eyestrain I think. What you can do is first get off the computer and go lay down closing your eyes for a spell. If you can fall asleep that would be even better. To try to avoid working so long on the computer and take breaks like every 15 minutes or so, that helps me. You also may want to have your eyes checked, you may need glasses or if you wear glasses it may be time for a new prescription.
