"Not flesh of my flesh Nor bone of my bone
But still miraculously my own. Never forget for a single minute You didn't grow under my heart - but in it"
-- Fleur Conkling Heylinger
This is the Poem that My mom read me.. I was looking at the other one I posted and I knew it didn't sound right. I called my mom for it.
A lot of Adopted people I know, their parents read this poem to them

Well, I feel it is important to anyone who has ever Adopted anyone to make sure and treat them as your own no matter what happens in your life. You need to be prepared for any situation when you choose to take this step.

This is a very beautiful poem. I really enjoyed reading it. I love the part where " You didn't grow under my heart -- but in it" I have heard a version of this, but it says right straight in it.
