My picky cat won't eat Kitten Chow!

My cat is just the funniest creature. He won't eat Kitten Chow, but he loves Cat Chow. Isn't that from the same company? I wonder how much different the brands could actually taste? And, the problem is, that he has recruited my baby girl cat into his compulsive dislike of Kitten Chow. So, now anytime I buy Kitten Chow, neither one of my cats will eat. They just sit around meowing and asking for food, that is already sitting in front of them. Very, very picky! Anyway, my point is that sometimes I can't get to the big store to buy his Cat Chow and only have access to Kitten Chow. And, then that's what he has to eat. But, he holds out for days. How silly is that? You would think that a cat (being an animal) would think about his own self preservation. Not him! How in the world do you get a picky cat to eat a particular brand of cat food when that's all you have to give them? I love both my cats, but sometimes I can't get the exact brand that they like. What's a girl to do?

My cat will eat nothing but Meow Mix. He went for four days once without eating. He used to eat wet cat food, but one day just quit. It was right before the recalls. He will not touch it at all.

That is spooky! But, not surprising at all. My cats can always detect something wrong with their food. My little kid has that trait too. She only has to smell of something to know that it will taste bad or that something is wrong with it. Not sure how she does that either. Sometimes I swear she is part cat. Her other mom is a cat, so I shouldn't be that surprised.

My cat usually eats just about whatever I give her. She eats a lot of dog food, but always has cat food in her house, too. Now my little terrier, she will eat any people food we put in front of her, but with dog food she is a little more picky. If we buy a dog food that has several different shapes and flavors, she will pick out one kind and eat it first. She just throws the rest of it around the kitchen. It drives me crazy!! The cat usually comes in and cleans the mess up, though! lol Once Trixie can't get to any more of the food she prefers, she will eat the other kind, though. She likes to eat!

Send the kitten chow to our house. Our darn puppy keeps eating all the kittens food. Maybe the texture of the kitten formula and adult food is different and thats what he doesnt like. We have three kittens and they love the kitten chow, but they have never had anything else yet either. I guess you better stock up on their favorite the next time you get to that store.

Well, the cat will EVENTUALLY eat the kitten chow. He might hold out for a bit but eventually he will get hungry enough to eat it. Now, if you want to try to be slick you can always try mixing the two foods a bit and see what happens.
