I saw about 15 times the 300 movie and the techniques really impressed me that they used during the war and the director maximum showed the real skills how the warriors fought at that time as they are the 300 finest warriors ever lived and HOW many times you saw and what about your feelings on that?

Welcome back No i have not seen this movie at all, i am not so fond of movies, the cinema halls in my city were closed long back because of few going there, when one can see movie of ones choice at home using a CD/DVD player why should he go to hall spending money also time is a factor.. Thank you so much for sharing Enjoy life to fullest. Professor ‘*^Bhuwan^*’. .

Thats correct to see the movie in a CD/DVD player and we can share the same CD/DVD to all our friends and we can make number of copies out of it so that everyone can see. But its not good idea because the people (director,Producer) will keep their heartfull of efforts to make the film and if we enjoy the film just in CD/DVD how can they will make the money to produce another good film for us. I agree the theatres in your area are closed. I am not insisting you but many of them who have good access to watch movies in big screens are still getting habitual to pirated copies etc.. I suggest you to download 300 movie which you can see the real talent and hardwork of the hero (actor) and director to make that film.. You will definitely enjoy it.!

HAHAHA! Oh boy, I saw it like... over 10 times? I know, I am such a lost cause... But it has my favourite actor in it, Gerald Butler!! I loved him ever since Timeline(oold old movie), then even more in the Phantom of the Opera(the new version), and when I saw the trailers for 300 I was drooling. . I mean, it's not everyday that you see your favourite actor in underwear. Hahaha! Anyways, besides the fact that Gerald's in it; I loved the adrenaline rush from it. The sounds, the music and the acting just took me right off my seat!! P.S. You guys gotta watch the South Park version of it.

I've seen it eight times to date. Twice, the first day it was released in Ireland, and then four more times within that week. Then twice more when I arrived in Australia. (300 came out just before I left). I love this movie. Its the first real attempt at an adult fantasy type of film, at least in my opinion. Sci-fi has attracted most finance for movies, so its nice to see these types of movies. One's that encourage the adrenaline to flow, and also to fill you with you with notions such as honor or courage.

I've only seen "300" twice. I'm not a big fan of bloody fights. What impresses me is the story and the acting displayed in this movie.

I have only seen the movie 300 once, and I have to admit that I was kinda disappointed after seeing it. It has been made so "wrong" the fight was not about glory at all.. and King Leonidas said to his men, that "if this fight was about glory, believe me, I would be the first man to run away" But, the movie was made really good, and the actors are great. But if you want to read something really great, try reading "Gates of Fire" by Steven Pressfield. It makes you get a better idea of what really happened, and it's probably the best book I've ever read.

this movie is so good. ive seen it like 20 times. just the sayings and the technique gets me pumped up. all the spartans literally do work as a unit and have no weakness. as one of you already posted, the movie didnt make the battle seem like it was for glory. king leonidas in the movie had to go to war cause if he didnt, the persians would have taken "land and water" in other words ruling sparta and making most of them slaves. i recommend watching troy, it is similar, but has more of a plot and isnt as violent. great movie, and i will definitely read that book

good point.I think they shouted "For Glory!!!" to make themselves strong mind to kill the enemies they come across. If they say "For Land and Water" that would be different feeling isn't it..!

Oh great...and the great thing is they have trained for 6 months to get six pack for all the actors in that movie who cast. So we can see the hardness of the director, actors who acts like anything....

congratulations, you are definetly a 300 movie lover, although i havent`seen it as many times as you did, i`ll say probably like 5 times, i have to agree with you about the techniques, they were awesome. i really enjoyed the fighting scenes, there`s something about big dudes with washboard abs beating the hell out of each other, that really gets the atention of people. they were really brave to fight against an army of thousands, that shows you when someone belives in something strongly enough, they can achieve great things.

Both are different concepts I guess. The techniques or graphic work may slightly compare but the overall movie is different as these guys are acted like they are born to fight and die for their country...

Hey, maybe you should watch it 300th times! hahaha Joke! I like this movie too but it's enough for me to watch it once. THe "300" means the number of men who fought. If you have watched it for the nth time, were you able to count how many the gladiators were? :)

Thats good point, I didn't get till now counting the warriors in the movie....So, how many you have counted so far i mean how many you think the warriors are in the movie..?

seven times..300 is an absolutely terrific movie. the attitude, the valour the spartans display send a chill down my spine. so much to keep their honour. they challenged and even demured a person who projected himself as god. i think they were bogged down by the wrong priests who just had no respect for these warriors. my personal favorite line in the movie when the king says : SPARTANS NEVER RETREAT!!!!!!!!!!. the greatest sequence when the king as a young lad fights the beast and also , when he kicks the intruder into the well..
