Some Cruel Teachers

Have you ever had a cruel teacher who failed your grade and punished you all throughout the year because you offended him or her once?a I don't know if this teacher of mine is cruel. Here's the story: Our teacher in math gave us as assignment with an a questionnaire and an answer sheet with the teacher's signature one Tuesday to be passed on Thursday. Then Thursday came. 15 minutes before the math period, three of my classmates went to the math department to search for our math teacher. They approached her and asked for the answer sheet, reasoning that they weren't able to ask the other day. The teacher got mad, saying, "You're asking for the answer sheet on the last minute? Why, for sure you'll just copy from your classmates!" One of the three classmates of mine walked out from the math department, mumbling. Two of my classmates reasoned that they already have the answers and they will just transfer them on the answer sheet. But the math teacher said, "Just use another paper but make sure you put your solutions." Two of my classmates mumbled their thanks and apology to the teacher. Once they got outside, the first classmate who walked out yelled some obnoxious remarks and foul words about the math teacher. What he didn't know - the math teacher heard it. The class started. My classmate who yelled foul words about our math teacher skipped math. Our math teacher, however, did not. She was very much upset! Then she ranted on and on about irresponsible students who blamed teachers for their failings and how thick of them to insult teachers inside the faculty room. While she was ranting, she was also glaring at the two of my classmates who had nothing to do with the insulting part.. The two of my classmates were horrified because the teacher blamed them. After class, they immediately approached the teacher to apologize and explained that it wasn't them who insulted her outside the faculty room.. But the math teacher didn't believe them and accept their apology. All through out that next math classes, the math teacher always make side comments about those who insulted her and uttered foul words, making my classmates feel embarrassed and discouraged... I also learned that my math teacher always hold grudged and fail students who offend her... Is that cruel? Failing students because they offended the teacher? Punishing students all throughout the year because of one bad incident? Students also deserve second chances right? They should be forgiven too and make up for their mistakes right? Only if my math teacher would give them that chance...

I understand the situation of your teacher and yourclassmates since i was once a teacher and a student also... Some teacher can really be cruel, let's face it, eventhough they are there to mold minds, they are not saints... some student can also be cruel... remember that teachers are those who work hard but are underpaid and most of the time unappreciated... i think the best you can do is to go to your guidance counselor and tell her about this problem... she can talk to the teacher to try to loosen up and forget about the insident...

The teacher may want the guidance counselor to name names. And I'll be in trouble with my math teacher. I always have a problem with math so I wouldn't want to take the risk because once a student offends her, he or she may not be given a second chance. Thanks for the response.
