If you had the job of attracting people to the town you live in how would you sell it. Make me want to come visit your town..... What has your town got to offer people.....

The strand - arial photo of the Strand Townsville
I live in Paradise but people who don't know call it Townsville . A few years ago it was a dust bowl in the middle of nowhere now it is a thriving town . It has to be the friendliest town for it's size. Everybody smiles and Say's Hi and talk to strangers and it is very safe i don't know anyone who locks their doors. We are right on the Great Barrier Reef and i have never known so many people to fish as they do here, why not when you can go to the reef to fish. The Strand is a wonderful place for the whole family it is on the beach and has parks,BBQ'S,a large water park for the kids but even the adults love the bucket,a large bucket that slowly fills with water and then tips over on top of all that stand under it. There are children's play grounds adult exercise equipment and so much more and it is all free. Then we have the Riverway where there is a large amphitheater 2 massive swimming pools and it is still being extended once again it is all free. We are surrounded by rainforest's,beautiful beaches the outback waterfalls the worlds largest reef aquarium. A 20 minute ferry ride to Magnetic Island just to mention some of the sights to see and things to do and just to top it off we have around 320 days of sunshine a year. Not bad and i have just started .This is truly PARADISE and i am here every day .Where i live we have Wallabies on the street Peacocks roam and the birds are amazing Rainbow lorikeets, love birds, parrots honey eaters and so many more . Are you sold

Thats sad, I think nearly every town has bad parts, there must be something positive about your town.

If you are going to visit my town (Derry) then come here on halloween night, it's the biggest night of the year, nearly everyone gets dressed up, theres a halloween fireworks display in the town center(over the river) all the night clubs and bars have halloween decorations everywhere, there can be anything from 10-50,000 people from all over the world in the town itself. It's really a Great Night!! Go, if you can (it'll be one of the best halloweens you have ever spent by far).
