Are you more likely to join a My Lot interest if others have too?

Sometimes I run across a small My Lot forum that I really want to join, like soap operas or lip gloss, etc, but find that there are only a small handful of members. And, then I'm more hesitant about joining the group, cause there aren't enough people on that forum interest to respond to discussions. So, I was wondering, are you more likely to participate in a My Lot forum or interest if lots of other My Lot members are there as well. For instance, Life and My Lot are two of the most active forums on My lot. And, I was thinking maybe that's because when people see how many members have already joined, they want to join as well. And, so those groups just keep getting bigger and bigger! What's your theory on this?

Hello beautyqueen26, Honestly, I never think too much about my My Lot interest. Whatever comes to my mind that time, I just write it. I don't join the group just because it has more members. Even when I want to start my discussion, I just choose the nearest group that related to my discussion. In fact I don't even check which one has a bigger members in it. I am terrible, I guess *laughs*

I don't join interests just because they have many members. I only join the interests that really interest me. I have several interests where I am the only member...

I usually don't pay any attention to how many people are part of the interest group before I join it. I just join it if I think there might be some discussions there I want to participate in. As far as discussions I start, most of the people that respond are my friends, so I think they would respond no matter where I posted it.
