Do you suffer from allergies? Not very fun, I know. What sort of things do you take either natural or chemical, over the counter or prescribed? Is it working for you?

I really don't do much for my allergies...I'm not really into medications of any kind due to the lousy side effects, but I will use nose drops, and a saline solution of drops, but drinking mint tea is good for any kind of congestion due to allergies.

Yeah I'm in hiding now, luckly I don't have to go anywhere too soon. I had to take the allergy stuff yesterday and today so I was all fuzzy headed. I hate that feeling, makes you want to just take a nap and forget the world.

I love mint tea, I use it to help whenever I have breathing issues which happens to be like all the time, lol. I hate to take anything for my allergies because as you mentioned the side effects really suck but my allergies are so bad that I am stuck literally nonstop sneezing which makes my tummy cramp up so much that I then get tummy issues and my eyes water so bad that I can't see. My nose is so red from all the allergies! Together with the chipped tooth (which chipped some more during a sneeze) I look like rudolph's redneck cousin, lol.

My allergy is body skin allergy and it is a hassle. I tried going to the doctor and probably everything I could think of but no use. So now I just let it be *laughs*. I try to use more high quality body care products and it seems to get better.

I can understand that, a lot of products really bother my skin. I do the same and just try and stick to high quality names that I trust.

I have terrible allergies. I also have asthma which can make the asthma worse. I am allergic to cats and dogs as well as well as pollen. I have terrible sinus problems all summer. I like to use tylenol sinus medication to help with the headaches. I am on Sincular, zertec, and two other medications that are prescribed from my doctor. I spend a lot of time in the house because I can not take the heat. I had an Aunt that was like this and she never left her home. Wish medication I can leave my home. I think I do quite well considering. I have a mom that takes me shopping so that I do not have to be out of airconditioning long. I also have a great husband who takes me where I need to go on his day off. If you do has allergies find out what your triggers are. This is very important to controlling your attacks. Allergie attacks can put people in the hopsital if not controled. I have a friend who uses only Singular and thinks it is great. She has no problem in the summer any more. There are a lot of options for people in the medication field. It is trial and error when it comes to finding the right medication that will work for you.

I have both problems as well and know how you feel completely, I'm stuck in the house all the time as well because of it. Singular didn't help me out at all but Nasonex helps a bit though not completley. I also use Tylenol Severe Allergy for when I get an allergy attack and it helps though it puts me to sleep, lol. The best thing I ever had for my allergies was having allergy shots done for two years straight, I then went a few years with no problems and no asthma symptoms either. I don't have insurance right now though so that's a no go until I can afford to do it again.

I immediately increase my raw garlic and Vitamin C consumption, peaking the recommended daily allowance of c to exceed 2000mgs. My allergies do not come on heavy, thank goddess, because of the liking raw garlic on a daily basis and allowing myself to tolerate what I can of the pollutant and build resistance with three times a year for two week, an echinacea boost should I have a severe flare-up, which I haven't in four years. Must also be the green tea and raw honey I eat too . . . sharing the light, Erica Hidvegi, M.A. Transpersonal Psychology Studies Counseling/ Author, Artist, Photographer & Freelancer http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/1556/erica_hidvegi.html

I didn't know that raw garlic was good for allergies, it makes sense though since it is also great for asthma and the two are very related.

Today I had postnasal dripp but nothing more for a long time. Yayaya.
