Does your spouse act grumpy and irritated when they're tired?

When my husband is extremely tired he acts grumpy. Always has, always will. And, it's very hard getting along with him. He gets very picky. But, I can't judge him too harshly, I'm the same way when I'm tired. It doesn't happen that often, but when it does, it's very disruptive. It's hard living around a tired person. He doesn't sleep well anyway, so today when he finally got ten hours sleep, I was practically over-joyed! Is your spouse hard to get along with when they are tired? Does their grumpy tired behavior ruin the peaceful household atmosphere and make it hard to have a good time? Do you try to make sure they get extra sleep, just so they don't cause trouble or start arguments? How do you deal with their moodiness when they're tired?

Heck yes! But I am too- I’m actually miserable when I’m over tired- He gets quiet and withdrawn--- more often than mean and grumpy- I know enough to not nag him—when he is tired- and we get along fine. He knows enough to leave me the heck alone!! When I’m tired- and we get along fine- If he falls asleep on the floor or couch when we are watching TV—I let him sleep- otherwise he gets real grumpy!

My husband does now and then but mostly he doesn't say a word and just sits and stares at the tv. Mind you today he was in a mood at work and took it out on me when I bought some second hand clothing and shoes today. He was angry because I didn't tell him about my purchase beforehand (we usually discuss these things before we buy anything but because he wasnt at his desk when I called, i went ahead and bought them). He went ballistic and flipped. And then later on when he came home he apologised because he was having a bad day. I didn't accept it because he should not have treated me that way even if he was not having a good day!

Sometimes she can get a bit grumpy is she's tired so I tell her to shut up or go to bed, lol. I mean, I can't do much about them being tired, and being grumpy, especially to the point of snapping at everyone and everything isn't going to solve the problem either. Sometimes whenever we're all out doing something, we're all tired, so having someone whose tired to the point of being crabby, isn't going to help the situation. So really, I tell her to shut up and deal with it because I don't feel like dealing with grumpiness. No one does. I get grumpy myself to a certain extent, but I try and keep my opinions, and comments to myself. I don't usually snap at people unless they're really pushing my buttons or I've had a really trying day.

My hubby just gets quiet when he's tired. He's such a mellow guy he rarely gets grumpy. I'm the grumpy one when I get tired.

Hello beautyqueen26, My husband never acts grumpy or irritated when he is tired. Whenever he is too tired, he will get headache and will head on to the bedroom to take a nap. My part is just to be by his side and massage him for awhile before he fall asleep *laughs* But in our household, it is me who sometimes act grumpy and unbearable to handle. Guess I should ask him to answer this question on behalf of me *laughs*

Mine does, too. He works two jobs, so it's totally understandable. But when he gets too grumpy or snippy and starts unintentionally taking it out on me, I do call him on it. I can only put up with so much, lol. He's pretty good about it though, and he's usually aware of it himself.

when my bf is tired or stressed he does get grumpy and sometimes doesn't want to talk to me because all he wants to do is sleep. But I wanna talk to him! Lol. coz if I have something to share with him, sometimes i do get disappointed because i cannot share it with him immediately or the way that i want to.Usually I'll just let him have his rest and then we'll talk and meet up the next day.
