Why do we need friends?

Give me THREE UNIQUE REASONS that you can think of why do we NEED friends.
Someone who you can talk to, someone who can help you when you're in desperate need, someone who can watch your back, someone who corrects you to be better, are the common ones, we KNOW them all.
It's time to dig out OTHER REASONS that we NEVER heard of or SELDOM heard.
mine would be
# 1- someone who inspires you to be more of your better self...
#2 - someone who shares your pain and tell you about it with a smile...
#3 - someone who reads you well, decides on your behalf (in
your absence) and makes you comfortable...
...but YOU have better ideas...
tell me about yours. be original, be unique - thank you virtual friends!!!
(you can go for MORE reasons if that won't give you headache...)

I'll give you three UNIQUE reasons..but just for fun..
1.someone whose money i can borrow from =D
2.Someone who i can wake her up late at night just for sharing =D
3.Someone i can make fun of =D

We need friends because
Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.
A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.
A friend is one who believes in you when you have ceased to believe in yourself.

to keep you awake, to keep you company & you mean to play CHESS, right? well, good. you need someone to play CHESS or do anything else.
you remind me of this line, a song from Scorpion..

For me a friend is someone you have chosen to be part of your family, someone who will be there to pat you at your back and say something comforting when you need them, someone who will tell you straight when you are doing bad, someone who's always at your side through bad times and good time who will never leave you alone and even you haven't see each other often you know that they are there when you need them. They are one call away and in no time will be by your side to comfort you or just share the happiness you feel as they will be happy when you are happy and sad when you are sad.

wow...that's a very detailed description of "a-very-hard-to-find-good-friend".....lol...
you'll be very lucky if you have one...or if you do right now, then you're really lucky for it's not everyday you can meet such a person..

i think it's automatically for us to have a friends when we join a community. at work, at school, or in a party. having a friends can complete your life, especially a best friends, coz they are always be there to help you to get out from some difficult situations. besides, some people don't have a good relationship with their family, so friends are the first one to share your burden.

THREE UNIQUE REASONS WHY I NEED FRIENDS
1. Because I need someone to cheer me up when I have arguments with my husband. :)
2. Someone who'll say the real thing to me-whether it is painful or not.
3. Someone I can share my life with and look back when we're old,talk about the silliest things we did,and the craziest stuff we had and still giggle at each others story. :)

Hi singlepixel! I think I need friends so that someone will listen to me when I am hurting inside..hold my hand when I am lonely and sad..share my happiness with..to reach out a hand when I am shutting myself out again..to pamper when I feel so neglected (this is my favorite..hehe)..so i will have a shopping buddy..the list is endless but the most important thing for me is.."Because I have so much love to give and I need friends to share that with them". the last one(endless list)...I fit in..lol...
and it's wonderful when you have lots of love to give. I'm sure the kids would like them...and we all in mylot too..

I need friends especially now it's been 4 months since I lost my third baby...
1) My best friend is there to listen when I talk about my babygirl 24 hours a day it seems 7 days a week.
2) Someone that will laugh with me cry with me and spend time with me..
3) Watch our daughters grow up together hoping they will develope a close friendship like we have although they will have known each other longer.

well, you're right- you need a good friend/listener to share your thoughts now.
But you know, losing someone we love isn't the end of it. it makes us grow stronger and a reminder to love those who are still with us now.

it's hard to find a friend like that. and whenever you find one, you end up falling in love to that person & marrying that person & arguments start to come up and finally you lost that friend...(maybe i watch too much TV..lol...)

In my opinion ,theare are three reasons why we need friends :
1 we always have upsets in our lifes.And we need to find a person to speak the upsets out .And the friens are the best .
2 we will encounter some problems in our lifes that we can't solve ,we need friends' help
3 One is always lonely.We need friens to bring the happiness .

yeah..and sometimes i keep wondering - if a true friend always shows up whenever we need a friend - are we the same? do we always show up whenever that friend needs us?...?...
