Since I have been using the computer I came up with an excellent way to remember those whom I have admired in life once they pass on. I will download a nice photo of the person and set it as my desktop background for a number of days. This is my little way of honoring and giving recognition to the deceased. I now have Pavarotti as my desktop background. In the past I have had photos of Steve Irwin, James Brown, Gerald Levert, and Luther Vandross, to name a few. These people are gone but not forgotten in my heart.

WOW! This is very good and really great way to express your honour for them. I can tell if they were there to know it, they would be definitely happy and honoured. I generally read all article which published on or around these days and see all the news or other documentary shown on the TV during this period like now I am not missing any thing published or shown about Pavarotti and this way I can know a lot & lot more about their work and their life.

Yes, cmsk, I feel that it honors them in my small way, for their talents will truly be missed by many. I don't limit myself in doing this only for singers, but for anyone that I feel is noteworthy and has made a contribution to society.

That is a very sweet way to remember people. I certainly miss and have not forgotten Steve Irwin. He was certainly a sad loss for the biological community.

It is soothing to me, 3lilangels, like a balm to my soul. I do this to let everyone know that I am missing the person.

Well, holtinator, since I don't know these people personally(Ijust admire their talent), I would not call them loved ones. Of course, we never forget our loved ones who have been a part of our lives.
