I need fat free and sugar free food as much as I can. That makes shopping for food hard. My husband Ed can eat pork and many other meats that I can't. Pork makes me very sick. Well anything with a lot of fat makes me sick. Plus Ed and I are both Diabetic. So the sugar is a big problem with us. Fat free and sugar free food cost so much. Have you tried to shop for a diet to find the cost is so very high?

Yes tell me about it! The only thing you can actually eat with less fat are those meals from those weight watcher programs. Who can afford that anyways. SO basically tryign to find food with no fat or reduced fat is such a headache, I have just basically stopped eating lol. I'll eat my meal a day but something very small. I wish store brands started making foods that were made for the dieters atleast then you'll know they'd be alittle cheaper.

It is ridiculous that foods without things like sugar, fat, and other things are more expensive than things with those things. I always look for healthy, low fat, low sugar items and they cost an arm and a leg. My whole family eats anything they want basically and I am left trying to find good low fat and sugar foods. They are so costly that I sometimes just buy a few and eat half of what the family eats. I think these things are high because they know we need them and we have to pay for them. I looked at regular frozen entrees and then lean, low sugar varieties and the cost difference was crazy. We have to be rich to be healthy! I shop at times at a whole foods store near me but wow. Expensive. They have great things though and I will stock up on some things I love and that will keep me going for a while. Shopping for foods for special needs is frustrating and costly and it isn't fair. Companies are getting rich off our desire to stay healthy or to treat our medical ailments and that is so wrong.
