What's your millionaire plan?

Almost everyone wants to be a millionaire, I think it's not just a sign of the times but natural to want to keep up with the "Jones'" as they say. But not all of us have a plan on how we're going to get there or when we want to get there by. Do you have a plan on how you're going to become a millionaire? Do you put that plan into practice? I don't have a set plan but it is a goal, always has been since I was old enough to speak. When I was a baby and people would give me change, as one does with kids, I'd say "No, gimmie green!" and "money" was like my fourth word before I was even a year old. My mother was not rich by any means and has never been the money on the mind type, she says I picked it up on my own. So what's my kinda plan? It involves; investments in stocks and real estate, having a total of 4 businesses (3 brick & mortar + the 1 MPM online one I currently have), saving a lot more then I spend and once I can starting a homeless shelter that has a twist to how it works and going nation wide with it. Big dreams yes but I'm not afraid of a little hard work to get there and a lot of learning on the way.

Well, good and inspiring discussion indeed. To be frank, now that you remind me, I don't have a plan for being a millionaire and I am not really sure if being a millionaire is in the back of my brain. I am sure I would like to live comfortable and don't need to worry about money, but at the same time having life pleasure is really important to me. So I guess I want to be rich, but I just can't make up my mind on how much *laughs* in money terms. Anyway, I invest in stocks (good ones) and plan to invest more. I think the MPM is a really good one and I am going to try it. When I get the money from them, it's time to put again in the stocks and let them double up!

Thanks! It's ok to not make up your mind about a number, as they say "you can never be too rich", lol. I really want to learn how to invest in stocks, I've always wanted to but never thought I could afford to. I agree, MPM is great!

Hey just start out small with the stock investment, but remember use only the surplus money and never buy when everything is rising. I am learning and it's been fun so far. It's all about strategies really.

My plan is to become a staggeringly popular non-fiction/novelist and screenwriter and eentually a filmmaker. I'm working on three books persently and have written four screenplays. It's just a matter of time when the right person comes along to take on my projects and pay me big bucks to do it.

I respect what you say here. I remember as a child I had an uncle(matter of fact, he is one of the few uncles I have left on the planet)who would come and visit us when we lived in the Bronx, and he'd give us money; He and my godmother was very generous to us that way. Anyway, one time he came to the house and he didn't give us anything, and me being as forthcoming as I could be, I said Uncle John where is my money today? Boy, my mother dressed me down but good! I learned a lesson that day nevertheless. I believe that we each have varying feelings about money, but what hurts me is that you have folks who feel(present company included at times)that we don't have it within us to make money but WE DO!!! Right now, that same uncle I have is RICH hear tell. But one thing on me, I don't mind putting money away, matter of fact, I feel that helps especially down the road when things arises. I am also reading The Automatic Millionaire so with time my mindset is changing.

Sorry, you asked our plans. For me, the old fashioned way. Save it. And hopefully by gaining some more insight from The Automatic Millionaire, I should get some more info to implement. Thanks for the insightful question.

yes, I have a plan on how to earn money and to retire rich, but as time goes by I think money is not that important and not very much the most important and most priority in life to achieve now it doesnt matter if I became a millionaire or not, I just want to enjoy life to the fullest and be known to the world

It's great to have life as a priority over the money and usually it's those kind of people who end up being the millionaires.

I am not to worried about making a millionaire plan or even thinking of one, because the only way a millionaire plan will happen for me is a large streak of luck. I would rather be certain that I am cashing in on hard work with some fun time in between. Life is way too short and full of adventures to worry about trying to have more money then other people.

My husband and I save through our 401ks are work and have started a ROTH IRA on our own outside of work. We also deposit a small amount each month into Sharebuilder and invest it. It's been really tough during this market to keep doing it, but keep reminding ourselves this is the most important time to keep investing. This year we are really buckling down and put ourselves on a tight budget to save a lot more than we spend. We also raise a rare breed of horses that we hope one day will be a good source of income.
