I'm Leaving Mylot

No, I'm not! However, I'm amazed at how many people start this discussion and then never actually leave. Why would someone leave any way? I have taken breaks, long breaks, from Mylot, but I would never leave it. I've gotten into confrontations with other members, but I would still never leave it. Then again, why bother announcing that you're leaving any way if you are leaving? You won't be here anymore to read the responses to your discussions so why bother? Of course, these discussions always get loads of responses so maybe that's why people start these discussions in the first place and then don't leave or, they start another discussion a few days later saying that they changed their minds. How does it make you feel when you read these discussions and do you ever participate in them?

I've participated in at least one discussion where the user said they were going to leave. In the end, this person did leave, at least I'm assuming this person left because the last time I checked they hadn't logged in some time. I don't plan on leaving MyLot. If I do happen to be inactive for an unusual amount of time from this place it won't be because I stopped being a member...

If it's a friend I will, but not a stranger's. I just replied to one of my freinds doing this, then they had a change of mind. If this becomes a habbit I will drop them. I don't mind talking someone's spirit back up, but I don't like drama's everytime I turn around, you know? Not saying that is what they did in anyway, btw, just saying I won't deal with that kind of stuff. I had one a few months ago that did that at least once a week, finally I just deleted them. :o(

If I ever decide to leave I will not post it in a discussion as I think it is just cheap shot at getting responses, compliments to boost their sagging egos begging them not to leave. I shall PM a few of my good friends and that will be all. If I do see some of these phony farewells I get a rather mean kick out of watching to see if the really do leave and if they do not then I make a point of reminding them. I agree that one can get teed off and need a break from myLot but there is no need to make a big production of it.

I had one incident when I was ready to leave MyLot over a fight in a discussion. I was frustrated, fed-up and p*ssed off. I just wanted to get away from the ppl I was fighting with. I also didn't want to hurt the ppl that had been nice to me. So, I started a discussion simply to tell ppl that I appreciated their friendship and although I liked MyLot I couldn't deal with certain ppl. I also called a friend of mine and vented to her which made me feel better. She pointed out that I shouldn't run away b/c of a couple of ppl that I couldn't get along with and that by my leaving...the other ppl were winning. I realized she was right and decided to I would stick it out. I couldn't delete the discussion I'd started but it turned out later I didn't have to worry about it. I think alot of ppl go through that. Something happens on here that upsets them and they just want to get away from the person(s) that upset them. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Well when it is someone that I have gotten to know really well and enjoy their discussions I have asked why they were leaving and requested them to stay but I agree with you about announcing it because I have been gone for a while but I didn't announce it because I know that if I see a discussion I want to answer I will be back for that moment in which you never really leave when you come back to visit or post a new discussion.

i think that posting new discussion on the topic "i'm going 2 leave" or whatever,it's just up to them.they post with the purpose of hoping that more people curious of the reason so keep posting respond for their discussion.this make their discussion with lots of respond and indeed they can earn more $...

I think this subject if very good eye catching. It catches most of our mylotters friends. This is the reason why most users use this subject as a discussion starter. I have no reason for leaving mylot. I think the only reason stopping me to participate in mylot is the hectic schedule I have in our school and at work. The fact that I do not have an internet connection at home, it is very difficult to give more time for mylot. Leaving mylot I think is not a good idea. For me being in mylot is being productive. Mylot actually not only makes us richer in terms of dollars but most of all it enriches our knowledge which is exactly worthless. Knowing I gain something nobody else can pay me for, I think will make me always stick with mylot. God bless!
