Well, for me, at the first beginning, I was just doing the job to make myself more experienced so that it could be good for my future career. Now, I am likely to doing the job to earn some money so that I could have lived a better life:) But generally, I am Ok with the job and kind of like the job most of the time, though it is really a busy job and requires OT sometimes. What about your job? Andy

I really like my work but recently I met a woman who told me I work too many hours and I should close down my business and sign-up with her home based skin care program. I would never consider closing down and feel hurt that someone would undervalue what I do like that. It's great to have a job that you like.

Hi Homeflower, Nice to get your reply here, and also glad to know that you like your job. Well, if you like the job you are doing, please just stick to it, I believe you could become somebody in no time. There would also be some unhappy comments when you are doing something great, it means that the woman has already noticed how good 0you are doing in your own business, otherwise, she will just leave you alone. The point is if you don't like her and don't want to follow her suggestion, just let her go and go on with your own biz. wbr, Andy

This woman is really nasty! Telling you to close your own business and start working for her?! She is really manipulative!

The most important thing is doing what YOU want to do and what YOU are happy doing. This woman sounds jealous to me, she knows your successful at what you are doing and wants you on her team. Obviously she mustn't be doing as well as you if she wants you to close down your own business for her benefit, so I would smile, and take it as a compliment. And well done!!!

I hope that I will never have to work just because of money. If I don't like what I am doing, no money can compensate the boredom and unhappiness of a job I hate. But I know that many people are just the opposite - they work whatever they are offered, if the pay is good.

Hi Leonarda, You are quite special a man, and not many people could act like you:) Yep, the job might be bored and unhappy if we don't like the job in the 1st place. And it is also true that when he/she like the job, he/she could also get well paid since he/she will perform well if he/she loves the job:) Wish you all the best! WBR,Andy

I have worked boring jobs with good pay and I know how's it. Not that I didn't need the money - I just didn't want it at that price. :) And I hope that I will always have the freedom to choose what I work.

Yes, in the first case. Because I do not have enough money to meet the ends and to educate my son. After I earn sufficient money, I will have time to think of other things.

Hi Sadaananda, thanks for telling the truth. Yep, quite some people would just do the job without thinking about why they are doing the job, they would think about it when they are rich enough. And quite some of my friends don't quit the job just because they don't have found out another better one.And we won't quit so easily since we have economic burden. So generally, quite some people are work just for the money.

Hi Andy, When i was in my early twenties, i had a high flying ambitions just as you and finished all my departmental exams to make myself promoted in my career. But in due course of time, the weightage/ importance of the family situations/problems had made me to stick to the existing post, and i preferred not to go for higher cadres. Hence to put things straight, i go for job, to have money, but not to sacrifice my family life/family members for the sake of money. Some how, i made to strike a Balance.

Hi Saivenkaat, Thanks fr your comment here. Yep, some early 20's guys seem to have more ambitions and tried to do everything to see what his/her really career would be. As time goes on, they would be very realistic and just do almost everything for his/her benefit. It's good for you to love your family that much. And the family will surely be your energy power to work. Good luck. Andy

well after i/ve finished my studies i just think to find job. but as usual most of the co dont want to hire employees because of their certificate but based on experience. So i've decided to find any jobs to make myself more experienced. It means experiences comes first and money last. But after a few years i'm feel that i'm doing jobs because of money. Right now everything is money..even i love this job but sometimes i feel that my salary right know is not enough to fulfill my life. haha of course i always apply for new job that offer high salary and hopes that my application successful.

Frankly speaking, I do a job for interests more rather than money. That is why until now I am not so well off lol... but, I could always feel happy. I do come across friends in pursuing for higher pay and change their jobs often. Many of them have higher income than me. They will never feel contented so they could never enjoy peaceful life as I do...

Hi Lkbooi, I am moved by your comment here, I wonder why I couldn't be like you. You know, I am also not a boy who could feel contented with myself easily. I always look for a better opportunity though I have just been working in the same place in the last 2 years. Intention to quit the job and find a better mind has never gone out of my mind.:) Well, what I would like to say about your job is, you will finally earn a lot of money or other things if you are interested in your job. You could count on yourself & be well off soon, that's quite for sure. Wbr, Andy

Coming to my job everyday doesn't excite me. it even came to a point that it frustrated and depressed me..I felt there was no more life in me. I felt that God has cursed me to toil and sweat just to earn a living. .but I realised, it is just my feelings towards my job. It is just my thought. So what i did... I changed my perspective. I prayed hard to God to change my thought. So that I will enjoy my job. Right now..I'm cool with it already. I think God has answered my prayers. :)

yes, i have to say i work for the sake of money, and i am not interested in it. i was a secretary, you know, it is a boring job. you can't have your own idea, you must follow your boss. if he/she made a mistake, then you corrected for him/her, then you didn't get a prize from him/her, but a blaming.because you dont' do as what he/she said. then i feel i can't bear it and quit it . but it is hard to earn money online.

Hi,Wonderful, thank you for sharing with us your last job. It sounds like a NG job per your saying. But there should be value in evey job, say,the Sec. has quite some chance to communicate with the boss directly and is the one who knows the bosses the best. What's more he/she could take action on behalf of the boss when he/she is aways. You know, the Sec in my department has quite some power and also owns pretty much respect from the employees.:) Wish you good luck in earning on line and although it is difficult, you could make it if you stick to it and set some good plans. This is a very good question. I am yet to join my job. I am a kind of person who can develop interest in whatever i am up to but still i will be doing my job just for the sake of money. This is because, my area of interest is completely different to my current job. And money is the reason for me to choose this job. I am paid much lesser in the field which i love.

Hi Vijay, Thanks for sharing. And you are quite rational a guy who could control yourself 100%. Well, it is really awesome to be able to develop interest in whatever you are up to. You know, quite oppositely, I just enjoy doing the things that I'm already interested it. Well I hope one day, when you are experienced enough in current job, you could go work in a place, where you love to work. With best regards, Andy

As for me, my aim was to have a job just to have money so I can survive. But as years gone by, I began to feel unhappy with the job I had so I wondered around and look for additional work. I had 3 jobs and most likely I don't feel happy anymore with the work I had so I resigned... Now I have a new job to which I know I can give my best and I feel happy with it for it can give way to mental growth. For me, It's not just the salary we get from the companies wages but what we can give for the company to be successful.

Hi Mark, Thanks for sharing with your history. It happens that people are always not satisfied with what they've already to on hand and would try their upmost to get what is better. Well, it turns out that the things they get next times is not always better than what they used to have ,but they don't have the choice to go back again:) Anyway, for the Job hunting here. I suppose quite a lot of people have the same problem about what is a right job for them. Yep, it will be pretty cool and good if we think more about what we could do the company instead of what the company could give us. WBR,Andy

Well, I always like a job that I love doing and that I would still do it even if I don't get paid temporarily. And in near future, when I set up my own biz, I'd love to say that I am doing what I like, it's really OK for me to work without money in the beginning, but since the main purpose is to earn money in a business afterall, I need to get paid after all. WBR,Andy Though it might be not the case for a charity.

Hello Angela, Thank you for your honest speaking here. Per what you told us, the things you need is not only the money but also the things that money brings to you. And if it is only with the money that you could gain those happiness, that's cool to earn more & more money. For me, I also wanna get more money, the point is I don't seem to have much time to spend with my family & my friends . That's rather bad for me. Anyway, good luck and wish you could gain more & more money in future. WBR, Andy

To be honest, most people I konow when they find a job the first thing they consider is money, sometimes I will do as they do ,however, money is the not the first most important ,the most forehead thing is our skill ,which makes us different from others ,how these skills gain?that's all because the jobs that we found,if they can give us more skills which we can't learn from our books ,skills always can't be balanced by money,No matter how low the money they will pay me,I will not care.,So in my view we should find the job which can give us challanges and able to make us learn something,These all our treasure in our future work. Also this can also give us so much money in our future work.;-)

Hi Comeonmolly, Thanks for you good points here. I do agree with you that we should learn some skill here, and it is the job that makes us different from those who doesn't work, and man/woman has a job but animals don't usually do it:) Yes, it is the specific job that we are doing that makes us unique, and it is value in every uniqueness, then we are valuable after all. Wbr & wish you a good career! Andy

Hi Khazeemee, Thanks for comment. And hope you could find a job that you are really interested in one day! It's said that every people are not satisfied with their current job and would also have quite some expectation on their next job. If it is stil quite some time that we will stay in one job, why don't we just try to find some fun in the current job since it will be the same job we are doing, but the result might be totally different if we tyr to be interested in it. Well, I ever had a good job of doing international business in a big company, but in year 2003,I occasionally foud the way to earn money easily in internet. Therefore,I quit my job for selling goods through internet. Now,unfortunately, because of the cut-throat competion in internet,I can hardly earn money from it. I just want to get a good job for my future and for my family, but more and more employees are fired,it is so hard to find a good job for me. How can I do??

Hi Bennettzd, Well, sorry to hear that. But I do think you now that you have got quite some years' working experience in internet bussiness, you could still shape up and set up another business there. Quite some of my friends would build a company in Ebay or Taobao, but they are doing it as a part-time job. They could still make quite some money there. I would like to do so as well if I've got enough time. It's always difficult to find a good job in China nowadays since there are always a lot of applicants for the same position. But if you are good enough and keep trying, you could surely find a suitable one in the end:) WBR, Andy
