NEWS: Revolving Door Ty Treadway is having a ball hosting CROSSWORDS, but he'd love to do a little acting since he's done with the 1st season. Hilary told him about Ron being the new headwriter. Ron wrote for Ty when he was on OLTL. He says he loves the people at OLTL and would love to come back and play with them. Coming -OLTL is this close to luring Phil Carey back to tape an important scene regarding Asa's will. Are Antonio & Talia a Match? RC: "From what we're seeing now, Tonio is not capable of looking at her that way. Deep down he sees this beautiful woman and is aware that there are some sort of feelings on his side, but they have to be really pushed down because he's not ready to open himself up to something like that adter being hurt by Jessica." "What's been really nice about this is being able to take it slowly. Especially with Talia being a new character. You see their relationship build on one side and start to see her feelings, as she deals with the complications of A) someone coming off a very painful divorce, and B) the complications that this is her boss, which makes her being involved with him pretty frowned upon. so it seems to Talia, in a lot of ways, like an impossible situation."Casting OLTL is casting 2 Child Protective Services workers Again, new Jack airs Sept 28. Jack is not being aged. Comings and goings: Jason-Shane Scott returns to "One Life to Live" as Lindsay's son, Will, on Sept. 19 and 20. ... Tatyana Ali ("The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air") makes a play for Devon on "The Young and the Restless" Sept. 17. Don't touch that dial: Ridge and Brooke close in on the person who helped her rapist next week on "The Bold and the Beautiful" (CBS, 1:30 p.m.). Watch out, Stephanie! OLTL- Best and Worst of Daytime - August 2007 MVP: Catherine Hickland and Kathy Brier We couldn't mention one of these without the other. The show has completely brought Hickland's Lindsay character out from her obscurity as of late, and reminded us all why Lindsay is one of the most compelling characters in Llanview. Making her Truman's killer was a stroke of genius, because we get to see the motivations behind her actions, and they actually make sense. As for Brier, she is making herself a very, very strong contender for an Emmy with some of daytime's most gut-wrenching scenes as the custody battle for little Tommy gears up full-force. Most Emmy-Worthy: Robert S. Woods Woods gave an absolutely stellar performance during the special 10,000th episode, as Bo mourned the death of his father, and had a beautifully poignant moment with his own son. It was quite possibly the best performance by an actor on daytime so far this year. Most Welcome Temporary Returns: Nathan Fillion and Dan Gauthier Watching these two interact with the rest of the family just brought a smile to our face. In Fillion's case, it's nice to see an actor who isn't ashamed of the fact that daytime gave him his start. In the case of Gauthier, we were reminded once again how he was hosed by this show and how much we miss him. Character We Still Need More Of: Nora Seriously. Now that Lindsay and Marcie are getting their moment in the sun, it's time for this top-notch actress to be brought back front and center, as well. Most Unncessarily Drawn Out Storyline: Who killed Spencer Truman At least the end result was some great drama and led into a whole new storyline, but damn if it didn't take a tediously long amount of time to get there.
