salty burgers!

A McDonald’s employee spent a night in jail and is facing criminal charges because a police officer’s burger was too salty, so salty that he says it made him sick. Bull, 20, said she accidentally spilled salt on hamburger meat and told her supervisor and a co-worker, who “tried to thump the salt off.” what would you have done i think I would have thrown it away after the first taste if it was that bad!

I think this is ridiculous and abuse of power....If this had of been you or I who was served this burger and asked for police assistance we'd be laughed at....I think the officer who arrested the worker should be punished as well for abusing his status in the community

I would have thrown the burger away. But then again if you or I had gotten that burger and had went to the police station they would have probably just laughed and the person would not have been arrested. Just imagine if every time you didn't like the taste of food that you ordered out you could get the preparer arrested. No one would work at the fast food places for minimum wage any more.

The employee actually spent the night in jail for something so silly? This is an example of a police officer abusing his power...it's crazyness. Like you, I too would've thrown the burger out or taken it back to the restaurant, Mcdonalds would've replaced it without question I'm sure.

Yeah I wouldn't have ate it, that is for sure and like you I would have tossed it away or if I was right there, took it back and demanded a refund. Surely I would have eaten thing.

Did this really happen? How stupid of the worker. I can't believe that the McDonalds burger was worth so much that they had to try to wipe off the salt that was spilled on it. I would have tossed the burger and made a new one...some people don't have any common sense.

They keep a really tight watch on waste in fast food.... still yeah I think throwing it out would have been the better option.

When I worked in fast food, they had a bucket that we would throw the mistakes in. I would have been fired if I served a burger covered with salt and then tried to wipe it off! Better to get rid of it and have a happy customer.

he must have been retarded! You'd think he'd have noticed that the burger didn't taste right right away. Maybe she can counter sue for emotional distress. :)

I would have asked for a new one. If brushing off the salt, did not work, then they can fry up another. There was no need to throw the employee in jail unless she stood deliberately over the burger with a salt shaker, pour it on and say something like, "Nuts to you copper!"
Thumping the salt off will not work. The officer needed a new burger or his money back.

There food is bad...but criminal...I don't think so. Did this really happen?
It does not make sense, that someone tried to know the salt off of a burger, they are cheap. I mean they could have tried water..that might have worked. If I got a salty burger..I would have gone and asked for a new one.

the policeman is probably too hungry to throw away a BigMac. and the the MacDonald employee is too lazy to make another one. I say shoot them both.
