i have been to mylot for quite long. I have been answered so many discussions already. i don't even remember most of it by now. I have been started several discussions but i'm wondering why i can't get several responses? the most responses i got is 9. i have a lot of friends, but seems they are not interested. i just want to know what are the type of topic you will consider in order to get a lot of responses? Share me your thoughts on this. Thank you so much.

i respond to a discussion if it caught my attention the instant i saw th title. but i also respond to discussions that my friends created even if i dont like the topic, i do that fr the sake of friendship.

I sort of have a system at the moment. I'll go through discussions ive started to make sure I respond to all those kind enough to join in, then ill go through ones ive responded to then ones with no responses and so on and so forth. The only thing that makes me look at most discussions is whether or not the subject matter interests me or i feel I can add something to the discussions. Otherwise I just leave it alone and go looking for something else instead. I gues its jsut a case of who knows enough about any given subject to want to reply to a discussion, that and has it been done before.

I think that you have asked the million dollar question! My discussions get very few responses--unless they are with in a family matter type of discussion. Those discussions of mine, bring the most responses. This is just something that I have noticed. I don't know if it is true for all.

I don't have any particular topics to respond too, I respond when I have something to say, It doesn't really have to be on my interests, there are moments too that I want to respond to a certain topic but I just don't have the right words so I just let it pass. Having friends is a great help because they respond to your discussion although not all of them..add some more friends and comments on discussions you created, that would keep your discussion alive and chances are you'll be getting more responses. :) Happy posting!

I might say we do share the same boat,joodzki6. My average response to my discussions is a measly 8 responses. Actually I was able to have a discussion which generated 50 plus responses and another one which made around 20 responses. But aside from these two discussions, mostly it will be 5 responses, sometimes even less. However, basing from these records,I must tell you that in order to get responses from your discussions, of course a good topic is a given, you should try as much as possible to give your comment on each response in an appreciative manner. You should also make it a point to rate the responses and give the best response to where it is due. Actually when I made 20 and then 50 responses, it was after a lengthy observation of what should I do to generate a high number of responses. Sadly however, after reaching 50 responses, we took off on a vacation with my wife, and I wasn't able to do Mylot for more than a month. Now, I am back to 5 to 8 responses per discussion because the backlog in my work precludes me from commenting on responses due to lack of time. I am hoping that by next week I might be able to review my responses, give them all + ratings and chose the best responses.
