Still trying to make money instead of....

Greece

I'm fed up to see people in here to try to win money instead of really enjoyin the discussion with people from all over the world. Guys, ok! it's an easy way to make money but you have to realise that the goal will be to discuss with people. I was in this trip once. I was wondering why all this effort wasn't payable enough. but now... I join whenever I want, I find discussions that I really enjoy and I feel less anxious.

I'm a member of Yuwie a friendship site. They don't post your earnings until late in the month. I think you can concentrate on friendship and not be so focused on the few pennies you make a day here.

remaster if you're checking yuwie out,.. trust me if you think the people that are here "just for the money" are too much,.. in my opinion it's worse over there. It can be a good site to use,.. just be careful whom you add as friends because 9 times out of 10 you get nothing but spammed.

I hear what you are saying, and I agree. When I first joined myLot, there were so many good, meaty discussions, it was hard to keep up with them all. Now, we can search through pages and pages of discussions and find it difficult to find even one good one. When I first joined myLot I made some really, really good friends and enjoyed discussing all sorts of topics with them, but most of those friends have left and there doesn't seem to be the same sort of atmosphere here. I have joined another site which is based on friendship, rather than on discussions, but where discussions are still carried out in several different areas. The friendships I made here on myLot have developed and grown and we have learned so much more about one another and shared in real ways. I have met and made friends with so many other people also. If you are interested in a friendship-based site, the link is on my profile page.

I have lost many friends that I used to have in here. It isn't the same as when I joined.

I totally agree with you remaster. It isn't the same here anymore, which is why I spend most of my time (as most of my friends do) at the other place. I wonder why it is that the other place has grown to over 100,000 members in two months when it took two years for this one to reach that number - and chances are that most of them here are no longer active? Having said that, I must also say that I do not believe the two are in competition. There is room for both. They are two different types of networking.

Well for me Mylot is a bit of both.I like to share in the discussions but I am also online to earn a living and there is a making money online section on Mylot where people who are serious about earning an income online can network and discuss strategies and exchange programs they are in..Thanks to Mylot and friends I have found on here..Next month my online earnings will be over 1,000 bucks a month from one program alone..So I am very greateful to Mylot for getting me to meet likeminded people and also my business partners..I can do both, socialise and make money..why not?

How interesting that this was an issue 3 years ago, and in my opinion still is today. I think it happens in almost any online site that involves paying it's members to use it, because initially when we find out about the site it is because we can make money from it. I think though that over time when they figure out they aren't going to get bucket loads of cash here that's when they either quit, or the ones that do stay learn how to have fun here and make the best of it. It seems you can usually tell the people that are here for the sole purpose of the earnings, apart from those that do truly enjoy mylot, however there are a select few that have in my opinion mastered the art of mylotting and get the best of both worlds LOL the earnings and the fun. I say right on to those folks. Unfortunately I don't think there will ever be a shortage of those that just want to earn the money though. I totally agree that just participating whenever you want to, and on the discussions that you can relate with makes the site much more fun to use, and less stressful because you're not pushing so hard to make the few cents we get.
