That is just one version. Do you realize the origins are pagan. You gave one website with one sided story. The reality is that if you search for santa online you will find several different stories. The truth is that the oldest known historical count of where it derived from is paganism. So please do more research then some doctored up site which is only trying to make it ok to believe in santa who really does not go down chimneys or eat cookies you leave out for him. He is an icon, a symbol used to brainwash children with lies. cmon you know its a lie and you know there is no flying reindeer. Please

look at this: www.religioustolerance.org/santa1.htm Here it actually explains how all of what you posted was a myth and there is no true evidence that he really existed. so know the truth and dont be brainwashed. I thought it was real funny that the puritans made it illegal to even mention his name or do any of the rituals. The fact is we might think that on christman we are celebrating Jesus but we are really paying tribute to the pagan God poseidon. Read this you might learn something about the truth.

Cognition is right..originally Saint "Nick" was an actual person HOWEVER the Santa Clause that we know of today was actually a Coca Cola gimmick YRS ago and it just sort of stuck...
