This has become a source of irritation for me. It doesn't happen to me often, but I read about it in other posts and comments. It did happen to me today. I posted a comment on a friends post about breast feeding in public, and who knew it was such a controversial issue? LOL I actually agreed with the person who ultimately said my opinion was ludicrous. It upsets me to know that in some forums it is NOT ok to formulate our own opinions and when we do, we are assaulted or put down because we don't agree. Also, these people do not read the comment in its entirety and formulate their own judgment and ultimately make themselves to look like a fool. You know that old saying, it is better to keep your mouth shut and look like a fool than to open your mouth and prove it? Well, I think those are good words to live by. What really gets to me is my husband and thousands of other husbands, wives, mothers and fathers defend our country for the freedom of speech and so many other rights and here we are on mylot fighting with each other like a bunch of heathens over our opinions which we are all entitled to have. Thanks for letting me vent guys! By the way, I hold nothing against this person who made her judgment toward me. I just feel that she should read and think before she commits to writing something that can't be erased.

I have encountered most of these people since from the start I came here on mylot, I guess they are just posting to mess around with the topics and destroy the discussion. Some of them also post just to earn and not to discuss, reply to attack someone and ruin their mood. Those who do these are mostly "newbies" and those who are from non-english speaking countries, others that I know might be deranged or are sick on the head!LoL Don't mind much about them, just hit the report button (!) because that is it's main purpose!;)

Thanks for your comment. Your right, but in this case it was just a misunderstanding on both of our parts. It does irritate me with others about how they treat other mylotters, but it could be a misunderstanding on both parts as in this case, except those other people might not be so kind to explain as this person was!

I've also run into members that as soon as you post your opinion (when it's opposite of theirs) several members will converge on you as to why your opinion is wrong and theirs is right. Even when you tell them you don't want to discuss it anymore...they will keep it up. It would be nice if we could voice our opinions and that's that instead of having ppl take it as a personal challenge to try to change it and letting you know why your an idiot for having it in the first place. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Tell me about it! I just had that happen to me this morning in another discussion about disciplining children. It is ridiculous really. I wish there were more people like you out there that is mature enough to understand that people are entitled to their opinions! Thanks for commenting.

It's ok. The person in question has made amends and I am fine with everything. It was a big misunderstanding.
